Social responsibility and sustainability
We are creating the future of media
We are proud to offer one of Norway’s largest platforms for brands that want to reach and engage people where they live, move, and travel. This brings great opportunities – but also great responsibility.
Our clear ambition is for our presence to contribute to more pleasant, dynamic, and sustainable cities and airports. Strong city engagement is an integral part of what we do, and every advertising purchase helps generate tax revenue, fund the construction and maintenance of bus shelters, give charitable organisations nationwide visibility, and support improvements to public transport.
We believe the media of the future should be just as attractive to advertisers as it is sustainable for society. That’s why we actively work to reduce our environmental impact while contributing positively to the cities and people who live in them.
Our commitments
- All electricity we purchase is 100% renewable
- ISO certified in Environment (ISO 14001) and Quality (ISO 9001)
- Eco-Lighthouse (Miljøfyrtårn) certified since 2005
- Committed to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions from our operations (scope 1 and 2) by 2030, and scope 3 by 2045.
- We use the Greenhouse Gas Protocol to calculate our emissions
- Since 2021, we have been a member of the UN Global Compact, committing us to key principles related to human rights, labour rights, the environment, and anti-corruption
- We also comply with common and industry-specific criteria for tenants
Our environmental initiatives
We continuously work on measures to reduce our environmental impact:
- We minimise environmental impact through preventive measures to avoid pollution
- We prioritise materials that can be repaired, reused, or recycled over materials that require disposal
- All our inventory is cleaned using ultra-pure water
- All electricity contracts are based on renewable energy
- Our poster paper is Nordic Swan Ecolabelled and produced at Grycksbo Paper Mill, which has zero fossil greenhouse gas emissions in production
- We also source from 07 Media, which holds FSC certification and is labelled with Rainforest Alliance and the Nordic Swan
- All posters are recycled at recycling stations
- All contractors are mapped, monitored, and followed up
- We continuously set and track environmental goals
- Employees are informed about the company’s environmental efforts
- We comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal control requirements
- Internal audits are conducted annually, and external audits every three years, covering our quality and environmental management
- We actively follow up on quality and environmental work with our contractors
Our initiatives for a better society
We aim to contribute to a better society. We believe a good society is an inclusive one, where everyone is accepted regardless of ethnicity, sexual orientation, or religion. Inclusion and diversity are essential for creating pleasant and sustainable communities.
History shows that changes in social attitudes often begin in public spaces. That’s why we choose to enter partnerships and participate in initiatives that help people feel safe, involved, and included in the city. By giving visibility to voices that otherwise struggle to be heard, we use our platform to amplify socially important messages.
Our efforts focus on inclusion, diversity, social injustice, mental health, poverty, and people in need.
Some of our partners

Oslo Pride
Proud main sponsor of Oslo Pride. In recent years, together with Oslo Pride, we have amplified their important social messages across all our advertising platforms in Norway.

Ung Samtale
Every day, 126 people in Norway are denied access to mental health support because their issues are not considered serious enough. We believe Ung Samtale does vital work, and we are proud to help make their services visible to those who may need them.

Henie Onstad
Henie Onstad Art Center hosted the exhibition “Every Moment Counts” in February 2022 as part of the national celebration of Queer Culture Year. To raise awareness, we collaborated with artist duo Elmgreen & Dragset, who created an artwork that was prominently displayed across our digital screens in Norway for two weeks.

World Mental Health Day
In connection with World Mental Health Day on 10 October, we donated advertising space to promote this important message. This year’s theme, Mental Preparedness, reached audiences across the entire country on digital screens.

Ukraine
The war in Ukraine affects people across the world, and for us it is important to take a clear stand and support the vital fundraising efforts of humanitarian organisations. We therefore chose to donate advertising space to the Norwegian Refugee Council, as well as Save the Children in Denmark and UNHCR, UNICEF, Save the Children, and the Red Cross in Sweden.

Small, local business owners
During the pandemic, many small businesses faced major challenges due to cancellations, fewer customers, and as a result, reduced revenue. This sparked strong engagement from loyal customers who wanted to help. We launched this initiative to contribute to more vibrant city centres and to support local businesses in their fight to survive the pandemic. In Norway, the initiative was called Lokale Oslo.
