Storytelling Media hit the mark with a large digital screen right by Lagunen Cinema – a placement that turned advertising into actual movie visits.
When Storytelling Media launched the family film “Barna i Sølvgata” (The Children of Sølvgata), they wanted to capture attention in Bergen. With a strategically placed screen outside Lagunen Shopping Center, they reached people at the perfect moment – right by the cinema itself. The result? A threefold increase in reach compared to the downtown cinema.
– Once again, we advertised a children’s film on the large screen at Lagunen through a campaign with Bauer Media Outdoor. This movie had 30% more visitors at Lagunen Cinema than at Bergen Cinema. Considering that Bergen Cinema usually draws bigger crowds, that says a lot about the power of that screen, says Anton Skarpås, Marketing Manager at Storytelling Media.

For Storytelling Media, the main goal was visibility – but the campaign delivered far more than that.
– We wanted to be visible where people actually are – and it worked incredibly well. We saw a clear increase in attendance during the campaign week, says Skarpås.

For Bauer Media Outdoor, the campaign proves how the right context and placement can drive measurable results. In fact, digital campaigns with relevant content can increase attention by up to 17%. Bjørn Erik Broady Aasebø, Commercial Director at Bauer Media Outdoor, isn’t surprised by the outcome.
– This is a great example of how placement and timing can drive real action. When you reach people in the exact moment they’re receptive, something happens, says Aasebø.
