Bauer Media consolidates commercial leadership in Norway
Bauer Media is now bringing together the commercial leadership of its Norwegian operations. The goal is to unlock synergies, strengthen collaboration across channels – and take a clearer position in the Norwegian media market.
– Since the acquisition, we’ve taken the time to listen to the market, talk to clients, and analyze how we can best organize ourselves for the future. The industry is clear: we are stronger when we leverage the synergies between audio and outdoor. At the same time, each channel will continue to be driven with full specialist expertise. Stronger together – with our own areas of expertise, says Dennis Højland Nyegaard, CEO of Bauer Media in Norway.
Nyegaard, who currently leads Bauer Media Outdoor in Norway, will now lead the combined media house. The new structure means Bauer Media is consolidating commercial leadership across the companies, while maintaining the specialist environments within the organization.
– We operate by the principle ‘stronger together – specialists within.’ That means aligning direction and commercial strength at the leadership level, while keeping the strong specialist environments close to the products and customers, says Nyegaard.
Maintaining specialist environments
The change means Bauer Media is aligning strategic and commercial leadership, without merging the sales teams. Sales teams across the different channels will continue as separate specialist units.
– It’s important for us to preserve the expertise within each sales team. Radio and outdoor each have their own strengths, dynamics, and markets. That’s why we’re keeping the teams as they are, so they can continue to be specialists in their channels – while collaborating more closely on the commercial side, says Nyegaard.
For advertisers and media agencies, the change primarily means better coordination and stronger commercial impact, while still working with the same specialists.
For clients, this translates into improved coordination, more integrated solutions, and a stronger commercial setup.
– By working more closely across channels, we can also offer our clients better insights, analysis, and advisory. The goal is for our advertisers to achieve greater impact and more value from their investments, says Nyegaard.
A stronger media house
With the establishment of Bauer Media Norway, the group is taking a strategic step to strengthen its position in the Norwegian media market. The ambition is to build a more integrated and modern media house, where strong channel positions are combined with closer collaboration.
– The ambition is simple: deliver better for our clients. By combining reach, creativity, technology, and insight across two strong media channels, we create both cohesion and high-level expertise. We become a stronger media house – and an even better partner for advertisers and collaborators, says Nyegaard.
Other specialist environments remain unchanged
The change applies to the commercial organization. The editorial operations in Bauer Media Audio and the development division in Bauer Media Outdoor are not affected and will continue as before.
– Stability is important to us. The teams working with content and the development of our platforms will therefore continue unchanged, says Nyegaard.
